ABOUT OUR 420 CLASSES

**2025 class registrations will be released November 29th**

Our comprehensive program is designed to introduce your child to the foundational principles of sailing on 420s, including:

· Basic Sailing Techniques – Learn the ropes, tacking & jibing, intermediate & essential knots, points of sail, parts of boat, rigging the 420, and sailing theory!

· Navigational Skills – Understanding wind/current patterns and right of way.

· Teamwork and Communication – Essential skills for successful crew coordination.

· Safety Procedures – Building confidence with proper safety protocols and marine radio management.

· Boat Handling – Getting comfortable with different types of dinghy sailboats and using body weight to your advantage.

· Developing the Racing Mindset: Effectively call tactics, work in competitive, high-pressure scenarios, and reading the racecourse. Opportunities to spectate local regattas too!

No prior sailing experience is needed – just a passion for the challenge and a willingness to learn! Each session combines hands-on instruction with fun, team-building activities, ensuring your young sailor gains both skill and confidence on the water.

We look forward to seeing you on the water!
