Both courses will be taught by Andy Hamilton and Mary Corbett, who many of you already know from our sailing programs.

J105 Intermediate Clinic
This clinic is designed to prepare sailors for larger boats and racing opportunities in the Charleston sailing community. The goal of this clinic is to get sailors up to speed on bigger boats, with the potential to join CORA Racing boats for Wednesday night racing during the summer, as well as other racing opportunities in the area. It’s a great way to gain experience and meet other sailors in Charleston.

Skills covered include:

  • Upwind and downwind spinnaker sets
  • Sailing with an asymmetrical spinnaker
  • Understanding and performing specific roles on a larger boat
  • Sailing around a set course
  • Assisting instructor with docking lines
  • And much more…

To ensure this course is a good fit for you, free skill checks will be offered for interested participants prior to registration. Please reach out to Kelly Arrindell at [email protected] to schedule your skill check prior to the start of the class. Check sails will be available anytime prior to the class depending on availability.
